For years I have been going to Cha Cha’s Tacos in Redland, California every time I am in the area. It is a small restaurant offering authentic Mexican cuisine.

Hole- in-a-wall restaurants are sometimes the best places to grab a bite. Cha Cha’s Tacos is a true hole-in-a-wall complete with outdoor seating, a small parking lot besides a trailer park. Like most good hole-in-a-wall restaurant, Cha Cha’s does not disappoint. While it may have humble appearance, the food is really the real deal. This is not your typical fancy sit-down restaurant.

The menu is very diverse with plenty of options for tacos, burritos including vegetarian versions of your favorite Mexican food. My favorite is the grande burrito which is made with shredded beef, beans, rice and sour cream wrapped in a freshly made huge tortilla. Only comment I have is sometimes the ingredients are not evenly distributed; there are times when one end of the burrito is just rice or beans.

Every order of food comes with a red salsa which is surprisingly mildly hot, sour and somewhat sweet and smokey. This not your typical tomato based salsa and it is a very good accompaniment to any of their food especially for the tacos and burritos.

There are a few hidden gem hole-in-a-wall places in the Inland Empire and Cha Chas is definitely one of them. I have been going to Cha Cha’s for a very long time and I can say that I have never been disappointed.

Their address is 26393 Redlands Blvd, Redlands, CA 92373 unfortunately they do not have a website.
